"We previously owned two bale beds built by one of your major competitors and knew there had to be something better. With my other brand beds, I have experienced not being able to unload bales because of a broken wire or remote control failure. That will never be a problem with the Hydra Bed! Another benefit of the manual valve system that I now take for granted is the ability to accurately control the speed of the arms. The Hydra Bed's free-float gives it the ability to unroll bales completely without the need for spinner extensions, making feeding a breeze. I've never written a letter like this before, but I have never been so happy with a piece of equipment I use so much! In case you can't tell, I'm glad we made the change to Hydra Bed!"

"We bought our first Hydra Bed in 1992 and now own 3 of them. They all get used pretty hard in our rocky hills. We owned a competitor's flatbed for about 2 months and got rid of it because we didn't like the way it handled bales. Our local Hydra Line dealer has given very good service, but we actually haven't needed hardly any on these Hydra Beds. The Hydra FLKR lets us easily and accurately supplement cows with our high-quality purchased hay. When feeding these big square bales on winter pasture to our 250 cows, there is virtually no waste. The machine (the Hydra FLKR) lets one operator quickly meter out just the amount the cattle need for that day."

"I absolutely love this bed. Bringing home round bales is a lot more fun when you are sitting in a comfortable cab, have the radio and air conditioner on and a small cooler of soft drinks on the seat beside you. I have used the bed to string out fence wire, string out plastic waterlines, pull fence posts, haul flood debris out of the fields and even towed home a repaired backhoe and tractor. This bed has allowed me to do jobs by myself which would otherwise require the use of a second person. Now, if I could only figure out how to use it to work the cattle through the chutes and head gate."

This equipment has changed the whole complexity of our feeding system at Ohio State University. Unrolling big round bales in the pastures allows uniform feeding for the cows. " We bought our Hydra Bed® new in 1991. We've replaced one control cable in 9 years. It is now being installed on its sixth pickup. We average about 60,000 miles a year on our pickups. "We bought and installed our Hydra Bed® in September 1983, it has worked every day since. The only parts we have had to buy over the past 14 years are one set of pump belts. We have never babied it either. Generally anyone who can drive will get the job of hauling. During the summer it brings most of the 700 bales from the field. They are already heavy and damp as we make 1/4 silage and the rest weigh 2000 lbs. +/-. We also deliver 300 bales to horse customers in the area. The variety of conditions is never perfect, but your machine doesn't mind, dropping them over fences, into feeders, flipping them over the top of the hill. The trucks under the bed have suffered because of age and hard usage. We are on the original frame, 3rd cab, 3rd motor and 2nd transmission. Thank you again for such a tough machine which we keep finding new uses for."

Well, I didn't want that thing, but he wouldn't take it off. He said to take it home and try it. You guessed it - There is no way you could take it away if I couldn't get another.
